The following are links to blogs, organizations, websites, databases and other places you can check to find a missing person or pet from Hurricane Katrina. As I run across more places, I will add the links. If you have a forum, website or organization - or know of one not in this list, please comment in this post and let me know so I can add it.

  • America’s Most Wanted - Katrina Victim Network - Searchable Check in, Register someone missing, or Search for people. If you know people who can’t access the Internet, let them know they can call 1-800-274-6388 (1-800-CRIME-TV) and report a missing friend or loved one, let the world know they’re okay after Katrina, or check in to see if there are any updates on people they know.
  • BBC News: Hurricane Katrina Missing People Closed, Email - The BBC is no longer accepting emails, but you may view the 3 pages (long) of emails, comments and replies.

While Katrina was busy wrecking havock along the coastlines and all throughout Florida, Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana, one ISP has been able to keep itself alive with generators. From someone who once posted on his blog to be able to chat with freinds has now become his first hand recording of the distaster and the aftermath of Hurrican Katrina.

The blog - run by the interdictor - has accounts stemming from the beinning to frequent updates on how things are going.

livejournal.com/users/interdictor/ is where the blog can be found there are also links to a live feed, pictures and links for the red cross and others.
