A simple meal made by adding ingredients together. A quick and easy way to make a delicious dinner. My mother had 2 versions of this stew but this is the Stew that I always liked.

2 LBs of ground round
1/2 cup of frozen onions
1 14-16 oz can of Peas and Carrots
1 can of tomatoes (Del Monte diced tomatoes with onions and green peppers)
2 14-16 oz cans of sliced white potatoes (little ones)
1 12-14 oz can of tomato sauce (Hunts with onion, celery bits and green peppers)

Brown meat and onions. All pink in the meat must be gone. Drain grease, add cans and juices from the cans. Simmer until heated. Serve nice and warm. Great with Crescent rolls or Dinner rolls.

I love great recipes that do not take a lot of preperation time, or require a lot of hard work and ingredients to make. This simple recipe has 4 ingredients and is very simple to make. This casserole takes about 15 minutes to brown the beef and another 10 minutes to mix the ingredients. Baking time is about an hour.

1LB Ground Round
2 cans of Cream of Onion Soup
1 pkg of Dry Onion Soup Mix
1 cup of uncooked rice (I like instant rice for this)

Mix all ingredients. Put in a baking dish (8"x8" metal or glass casserole) and bake covered at 350 degrees for one hour. Let cool. Serves 4-6.
