(13 votes, average: 4.38 out of 5)For those of you who like social networking, Facebook (originally intended for College kids) is a much milder, stripped down Social Networking as compared to Yahoo 360 and MySpace. Although there are 3rd party Applications you can add… it has a much cleaner / less cluttered look you can add.
A few days ago, a 3rd party application called “Pets” was released for Facebook. To me, it reminds me of a cross between Tamagotchi and with a hint of World of Warcraft in it. The idea is to start out with a level 0 pet - a bunny (or a colorbit). You can pet it, feed it or poke it from your Facebook profile (as can others) to gain XP and health. (Poke seems to give higher XP than Pet from what I have seen).

Inside the game, you “fight monsters” to gain XP, health and Gold. You can then use the Gold to buy items of armor and clothing to increase you hit points, damage and health. Pet me and Scavenging has been disabled from inside the game at this time. (Sorry! Scavenging (or petting) has been temporarily disabled due to high server load. We’re currently fixing this. Thanks for your patience!) The higher your XP, the tougher the monsters (Scorpian, Mantis, Spider, and an Ant) are to kill.
After you kill the monster, you loot the body for Gold and/or Equipment (weapons, armor, etc). You can sell the equipment for gold, carry it or equip it.
While playing it (mine has been alive for 10 hours - with a couple of hours of sleep being in the 10) I have noticed a few things.
- If you are up against an enemy and your health is running out faster than that one is.. instead of ‘run’ning at first , click on the My Pet button. You can go back, feed your pet, and go back to fighting with all of the health (hit points) on both you and the monster - but both of you with HP reset. It might not always save you, but there is a good chance it will the second or third time around.
- When you get around level 18 and level 22 monsters start appearing.. there is a level 22 Scorpion that barely damages you at all. Even at level 17 or 18, you can easily defeat this one and take little Hit Points (damage, loss of health) and gain a lot of XP and Gold (or even equipment). This has been fixed.
- I find myself cycling through (Evade) the monsters that are lower than me to fight monsters that are my level or above. In essence, it takes less mouse clicks to “evade” a lower level monster and get a higher level one to fight - taking less time to get more XP / Gold or Equipment.
- As of right now, the highest level to get new items is 16. The creator has said there will be some new equipment/items by the end of this week
- The levels where you can get new items right now are 2,7,10 and 16
As far as items and colour goes.. what I have noticed are
- red items have more attack points
- gold things cost less
- green items have more hit points associated with them
- The yellowbit starts out with 400 more gold than the others. (at 500)
- The greenbit starts out with more base hit points than the others (at 150)
- The bloodbit starts out doing more damage than the others (at 18) but, it does not have any armor points and only has 20 base hit (health) points
- The bluebit starts out with the most armor points (at 3)

I must be doing somethign wrong. I just got my Bloodbit to lvl 16, but I can rarely attack and win against monsters my level. I think the only exception is the Ant. Do I just need to bide my time to get some ace gear or something. PUt it this way, my attack power is less than 200 at the moment, my health less than 3000 and my armour less than 200 - I’m guessing by the monster that are about that these are rubbish stats for a rabbit of my level

yeah…if you are a beginner…i’d start out with the greybit bunny…out of all of them…it seems to be the easiest to lvl for some reason…i have a pinkbit and a grey bit…ive had my pink for 2 days and its lvl 16 with some good stats…3000+ hp…around 150 damage and almost 200 armor…but my grey bit seems to be catching up fast and i’ve had it for a few hours…lol

i’ve played this pet game for about a day or so, it’s pretty decent in 1day i got to lvl 19, and it’s a good game sorta reminds me of a mix of Outwar, and maplestory (just cuz there all small and cute) but yeah the games pretty simple basically more weapon defence and attack points you got the better you’ll do. being between lvl 12-15 was horrible i was all underpowered it was horrible but after like lvl 17 you get more money and ex for every monster so you can buy better gear, and better gear falls out from the monster but rarely :’(.. i want my zombie costume already.. i doubt there’s a stragy to this game basically attack and defend. OHHH did anybody notice when you click really fast you miss more…… i wounder if the makers intended on doing that?

U can actually get an automatic cliker and shorten your playtime by setting it to click automatly the atack/defend buton.

Just to let you lot know! After you get to level 19 it becomes extremely hard/long to level up anymore. To get to level 21 you need 2,000,000xp, to get to level 25 from 24 you need 10,000,000. Fun huh!

Simple….make a fake facebook, get Pets application, then google search auto clicker and get the first one that pops up. now log onto fake facebook account, may require a different email, just get a google G-mail or whatever. then add yourself to friends then go to friends pets and set the auto clicker on “POKE”. leave over night, and wake up next day, if you havent leveled…then you sure got a hell of alot of experience.

if you’re sick of searching for good fights, find any insect or whatever you want to fight. after fighting it, feed your pet, click backwards on your browser untill you see the window with the “fight it” and the “evade” buttons. press fight it, and continue like this

If you died, DON’T hit the finish button, close the browser and go back in. You will start the fight again. If you are close to beating them then keep doing this till you win. If not then press the Run Away button that way you don’t loose half your gold.

it is there and it is working, well it used to very well. I know there are some glitches now, the whole code is there for you to modify if u like.

Can anyone clarify if there are set bonuses for, say the Stalker set, or Ninja set?

I can beat: level 25 ant, spider, mantis, and level 24 scorpion.
A trick that I find only works for macs, if you find yourself loosing a battle that you think you could have won, right click and RELOAD the page. You will start the battle again, giving you a second chance. Also another trick, cuz I’m on level 23, I try and find a level 25 ant (as they are the easiest), kill him, and once I LOOT the body, right click, and click BACK. You will enter the battle again with the same creature, but your life does not restore at this point. I find I can kill about 5 or 6 ants before I need to FEED my pet. If you do this, you can level up very fast and gain lots of gold. It only works flawlessly with a Mac however, and PC users may run into problems, such as it saying ‘this battle does not exist.’

Let me answer some of your questions:
1. How do I improve my stats?
Basically, your stats increase by 5% whenever you level up. So, how much you gain depends on your (modified) stats *at the time of leveling up*. Therefore it’s better to upgrade equipment often (or at least before leveling up) so you get a bigger boost.
Also, I find that increasing Damage is most important, so you need to save up to buy stronger weapons even though they are really expensive. If you don’t, you will find that you can only beat ants!
2. Where can I find Unit Zero’s Head/Body, Blue Phantom’s Head/Body, and Green Phantom’s Body/Arm?
These items are not available at the shops and you can only win them from fighting monsters. Unit Zero’s Head and Body can be obtained from Level 20 monsters (so you must be at least Level 18). Blue Phantom’s Head and Body, as well as Green Phantom’s Body and Arm can be obtained from Level 25 monsters (so you must be at least Level 23). Occasionally, Level 24 monsters also drop them.
3. What are the strongest sets at Level 20/22/25?
Level 20: Unit Zero Set
Level 22: M4 Gun (several items are similar; I used Fei’s Gloves, M4 Sneakers, and Unit Zero’s Head and Body)
Level 25: Blue Phantom Set (slightly better than Blue Phantom Set)
4. How do I level up quickly?
There are several ways (from fastest to slowest):
i. Some people cheat by hacking the stats, using software like Cheat Engine (not me). If you see ridiculously high stats, that’s probably it, but what’s the point? I don’t see the fun in it. It’s like hacking Final Fantasy and get to Level 99 and kill the boss… the game ends.
ii. You can write a script that automates the fighting process, using software like AutoHotKey (google it). There is a learning curve though. Basically you tell the software where to click and what keys to push. If you use the Safari browser (available on Windows and Mac), you can click back and keep fighting the same monster. So pick an ant, then run through it many times (but stop before your HP runs out). If you set it up correctly, you can run it 100 times or more automated.
iii. There are others who use auto-clickers (similar to ii, but only for clicking fight/defend).
5. Why do people have to cheat or use scripts/auto-clickers?
When you reach Level 20, you’d know. Every Level is approximately twice as long as the last one (it grows exponentially). By the time you reach Level 22/23, it feels like it will never end. But, you really want to wear the Blue/Green Phantom Set…

I mean, the Blue Phantom Set is better than the Green Phantom Set (typo). Also, those who cheat may want to know that the creator of Pets warned that he may delete those pets. But, judging from his long absence, who knows when he would do it (if ever)? By the way, it seems ever more unlikely that Duel will be implemented (it’s very complicated, for one thing).

Could someone please tell me if this is bad for a bloodbit at my level??? :S
